I'm tooting my own horn today. I got into the State of the Arts competition with my toilet paper painting. And even better, I won second place in the Kansas Watercolor National  with my self portrait. I've been trying to get my "older" works in as many shows as possible. Two to three years and most shows won't accept them anymore.

On a different note, Friday I will go to JCPenney for my annual portrait. I call it my "school picture" because I have been doing this since my first year of teaching in 1971. I am also going to update my "artist photo", like the one below from 3 years ago.
