I have had the next two portrait drawings ready for painting since January, just waiting for "Colleen" to be finished. I noted that the paper I used for her had warped on one side. I carefully re-stretched it from the back and now it is fine. But the next two drawings are on the same Arches 300 pound coldpress paper. So as badly as I wanted to start painting, I chose to stretch both of those papers to assure I wouldn't have the same problem. (Re-stretching paper does not always work.) One came out fine, but the other one, the one I wanted to paint first, warped. So I had to re-stretch it. That is shown in the photo here.

Keep in mind that stretching paper requires up to 3 days to dry. In my studio that means I can't use my drafting table. Grrr.
