I wanted to use a different kind of black in the background from what I had on my palette. I used Perylene Green and Quinacridone Rose from Daniel Smith's line. There is a difference in how it looks even though I didn't go very dark. Mixed blacks are always richer than pre-made colors. I then removed the maskoid from the ladder. Finally I removed the maskoid from the glasses. I used Winsor & Newton Art Masking Fluid ONLY on the glasses because it leaves a slight yellow stain and I knew I was going to paint them yellow. (I have 3 different masking liquids for different uses.)
