I've worked hard on this painting today. The earrings are done. I've added more definition to the teeth and shoulders. The big project was blackening the vest and hat. After 3 layers, the hat remains streaked because I can't keep the wash wet while I carefully paint around the figures. I don't know that anything can be done about it. I am collaborating with a watercolor friend so may know more Tuesday. I certainly have other things to do: add light reflections, paint a light background, etc.
