I wanted the camera to almost disappear into the shirt except for using a different black. I decided to wait to paint the figure until the colors of the hair are resolved. I watched several watercolor artists demonstrate how to paint wavy/curly poodle hair. Their examples closely resembled my hair so I will practice a few days before tackling my work.
