Today was KCAC’s “Coffee Talk”. The topic was “pricing” this week. For all artists it is difficult to figure out one’s pricing strategy. Artists discussed their different approaches. For myself, it took many years before I felt I had a handle on that problem. It is a combination of: material costs, time spent, reputation, quality, current economics, consistency of output, fairness and profit margin. That is all so boring and yet so important.
