Well, the blue layer is finally done. Now the painting will get harder because I don't know how the new "Shadow Violet" will react to the colors already painted. I know what I want but will have to practice tomorrow. I want the rhinos very dark. What will that do to the background mahjong tiles? Will I have to gray them down so they don't stand out? And what about the clouds? How will I show tiles through them? Questions, questions. I have no answers yet. I just move one step at a time. That is the nature of watercolors. Things never go quite the way one envisions. Oh course, that is the challenge and why I love it.
