I have not written anything because I have been dealing with a silly gardening accident that made my painting thumb too sore to use. It still hasn't healed, so Ballet sur Derrieres #10 remains unfinished. I will go back to the doctor next week if I see no improvement.
In the meantime I have been very busy. I was offered a one woman show at the KCAC Underground Gallery later this year. For the past several weeks I have been going through my inventory and working out what I want to show, what needs mats, Plexiglas, frames, etc. The entire process is complicated and time consuming. I signed the contract yesterday and am now getting bids on various things. Currently I have works in Illinois, Texas, Missouri and two local galleries. Other than two local competitions later this summer, I am going to stop exhibiting until after the one woman show. I need to focus on preparing for the KCAC event. I was surprised and humbled by their offer so I want to do the best I can to make the show breathtaking.
