Sunflower Center is done for now.

My biggest frustration today was mixing the brown I wanted. I didn’t want a straight tube color. I mixed red, violet and a special green; (it doesn’t stain paper). I wanted a brown that would turn a little green or a little red depending on the color it would cover. That took me almost an hour and a half. But I did finally get it. I finished the center of the sunflower and will move on tomorrow. I may have to darken that brown later, but I won’t know until more of the painting is done. It was a long day in the studio. I didn’t even walk the dog. Sigh.
